Methodology
CBR (CryptoBench Rating): Overall efficiency metric combining risk-adjusted returns, volatility control, and market dynamics.
RAR (Risk-Adjusted Return): Annualized return adjusted for volatility and drawdown risk.
VOL (Volatility Control): Measure of price stability and downside protection. Lower values indicate better control.
LIQ (Liquidity Score): Trading volume and market depth relative to market cap.
How We Rank Cryptocurrencies
Our algorithm analyzes over 1,000 cryptocurrencies and ranks them by efficiency - not just size or hype. We look at risk-adjusted returns, price stability, trading volume, and market quality to find coins that consistently perform well relative to their volatility. Only cryptocurrencies with $500M+ market cap are included to ensure reliability.
📊 A note on "weird" coins: You might see some unusual names in our rankings (meme coins, etc.). We don't censor or exclude cryptocurrencies based on their names or themes. If a seemingly strange name shows up in the top 20, it's because the data shows they're performing efficiently by our metrics. We do set a minimum $500M market cap requirement to reduce noise from micro-cap pump schemes, but beyond that, we go wherever the data takes us - even if it leads to some eyebrow-raising results.
